Spotter or Spotted..?

Discovered the following note @ well-informed macintouch ipad review website:—

Will it turn off in bright sun like the original iPad?

The issue with the original iPad is that its maximum operating temperature is 95° F (35°C), and on a hot day, full sunlight can add enough heat that the iPad would shut down to protect its circuits and battery from heat damage. Since iPad 2 has the same specs, and the same surface area to absorb heat, we expect this will continue to be a problem for those in very hot, bright climates. It’s not clear if the new white model will be less susceptible, either.

Worth noting, impliedly, the ipad 2 is a significantly thinner.. so would this natural turnoff arrive somewhat quicker in fairly typical – and global warming – climates around the place these days..?
